A public sector warehouse tasked Ayoubi Steel with manufacturing and assembling a storage solution to house furniture for government offices and institutions. The client hoped to optimize space utilization while ensuring the safe and secure storage of furniture items. With a diverse inventory of furniture pieces of varying sizes, weights, and weight distributions, the client required a system that would accommodate their storage needs while prioritizing safety and accessibility.

Our Conventional Pallet Racking systems provide a durable, reliable and customizable solution for organizing, storing and selectively accessing stored goods.

While conventional racks are usually used to store palletized goods, this type of selective racking can be adapted to store boxes, rugs or any other “single-deep” inventory on its adjustable shelves. In this case, the client was most concerned with the storage and retrieval of large furniture items such as couches or desks.

• Heavy-duty steel construction ensures structural integrity and durability, capable of supporting the weight of furniture items while withstanding the demands of warehouse environments with minimal (to acceptable) amounts of deflection.
• Adjustable beam levels allow for flexible storage configurations to accommodate furniture items of various sizes and dimensions, optimizing space utilization and organizational efficiency.
• Custom upright protectors, designed according to the client’s request, provide additional protection to the racking system, safeguarding against accidental impacts and ensuring the safety of warehouse personnel and stored inventory.
• Custom floorplans are designed to accommodate retrieval types/methods (picking, manual lifting, mechanical lifting, etc.), optimum workflow, adherence to Civil Defense safety codes and existing tools or machinery.

1. Maximized Storage Capacity: Ayoubi Steel’s conventional pallet racks optimize space utilization by utilizing vertical space. This unique case was able to store 2 tons of furniture per shelving level and 1,600 tons of furniture within a 2,700 m²
2. Enhanced Accessibility: our storage solutions leverage our experience in and consideration of the client’s workflow and floorplan constraints to ensure optimal maneuverability and handling time.

Safe handling: Risks are mitigated by considering factors such as a client’s tools (as forklifts), floorplan constraints (as beams and overhangs), flooring (as tilt or foundation issues), inventory management methods and Civil Defense requirements. Layouts and loads are always calculated to ensure safe utilization and longevity of the storage solution.
4. Improved Organization and Flexible modularity: Adjustable shelving configurations facilitate the efficient organization of furniture, enhancing inventory management and preserving the stored items.
5. Customized Add-ons: Custom designed upright protectors and name plate holders were added to this project, constituting two of the many add-ons and accessories we offer.
